Transforming Fear
Fear is natural. Sometimes life with all its un-known’s, just scares us. Fear itself, or the sensation we feel when we are thinking fearful thoughts is usually uncomfortable and that’s why we don’t like feeling it. But often the fearful emotion is either trying to let us know that it is time to change how we are thinking about something or it can even bring us to step- up and raise the bar on our choices and actions.
Fear can be an ally asking us to be more awake, more courageous, less “victim-y”, and best of all, it can push us to step outside of our comfort zone, and that is where all the magic happens. Fear is an indicator that the opportunity to expand and embrace our potential is right here, right now. When we know how to communicate with fear, as well as, listen to it, it can be a worthy companion on our path to self-awareness and personal expansion.
Here’s a quick way to address your fear so you have access to the message it has for you… plus you will just feel better…it will only take a few minutes:
Get comfortable by sitting or lying down. Breathe into the sensation that fear produces in your body (usually a tightening or holding in the belly or heart area.) Let tightness in abdomen or heart go by breathing into it and inviting it to clear on your exhale. Sometimes it feels good to put your hand where you feel the most sensation. Be present with what comes up. Witness it. Meet it. Refrain from thinking. Stay focused in your breath. What ever comes up, invite it to clear. Relax with each breath and watch what happens to your fear when you invite it to release with your exhale. Notice how you feel and go ahead; face your life with a more courageous heart and a renewed spirit!

Ha! I read it several times as Fear the Alley! Im thinkin, yeah thats right on forwhat I have been feeling lately. Long dark stinking dangerous or sketchy place. Back doors and garbage cans. Not knowing where I am going, or what might happen next. Pluto in retrograde. Then I did the transformational meditation.( much snuffling and tears) And now I read it as the Ally. Thank you for the meditation site. I plan to do it everyday this week. Trying to come out of a rough spot. This helps me remember and strengthen my heart and will. Life is good and I am blessed and have been provided for in so many ways. So good to see your face and hear your voice. all my love, Rachael
